Does anybody know if this weekends game is going ahead or not because nobody at the club as said one way or the other and when asked on facebook they said a decision hadn't been made yet which is bizarre.
Hi Terri, you can imagine as a Broncos fan it's of interest to us whether any other team goes to France. Have spent a bit of time looking at the calendar & assuming all your players had the vaccinations at the earliest opportunity, I don't think any 21 year olds could get the 1st in wait 8 weeks have 2nd then wait 2 weeks then be able to go by this weekend. Think you should be fine not to go. Of course as most teams will lose in Toulouse might of been an idea to hold back on the vaccinations to ensure you don't have to go. But the RFL is run by numptys so never say never. If you do have to go, good luck as they were very good Sunday.
No point from any angle health ,time , financial nonsense and too hot to play ....just make any excuse not to go . Players would be bored stiff with restrictions.

It’s been cancelled, update from the RFL, as has Batley’s game. Not sure how this affects us but more than likely would have been a loss and gives the lads a week off.

Also, how does it affect the league? Surely they can't allow Toulouse or any team to be promoted having only played half their matches. It would be also disadvantageous to clubs having to play in France when most others haven't. It's a mess and we can only wait and see what happens next.
Hear All, See All, Say Nowt. Eat All, Sup All, Pay Nowt. And if Tha ever does Owt for Nowt, Allus do it for Thissen.
No clubs have played in Toulouse BUT Widnes and Swinton had to play their away games against Toulouse at Heywood Road. In fairness both these games should be stricken from the records as it will have lowered their win percentage. It would not affect Swinton's league position but it would move Widnes above Sheffield.

Matches cancelled due to Covid don't count in the total of (available) games so the 70% rule applies to matches that have been/could be played. It's unlikely now that any club will travel to Toulouse during the regular season - London can think themselves unlucky to have been punished for refusing to go. What happens come play off time remains to be seen, but it will be tight timewise to have all players 'fully vaccinated' to avoid isolation on return from France under the rules coming into force on the 16th. I suspect no decisions on play off venues (particularly the final) will be made until closer to the time when the travel rules in operation then are known.

Well no idea how this will work going forward but I’d suspect that to get anywhere Toulouse will have to play their playoff games over here at a neutral ground. I also think that there is a fair bit to come yet, Leigh who look nailed on for the bottom spot and spending a lot so have they been given the nod that there will be no relegation. Perhaps one up and bring Toronto back in or twomup. We shall see.
