However the protocols are in place so that if a club has 7 or more players from the top 26 in a teams squad having to isolate due to Covid-19 they can supply that information to RFL and request a postponement of a game (which will mean in a lot of cases that games are not played at all). I have not seen any proof that these isolations have happened due to Covid-19 protocol breaches, if any of these can be proved then I would hope that any clubs would also receive punitive penalties.
However I do believe that London Broncos have the right to feel peeved, in that you were asked to fulfil a game in France when all the part-time teams did not have to fulfil the same fixture due to travel restrictions, which is still ongoing. In my opinion the RFL got this wrong and London should have been exempt from travelling to France also. Though I suppose that they did this to be consistent with the SL sides having to travel to France. Maybe DH should have declared the Broncos as a part-time team at the beginning of the season, even if you only had 1 part-time player in your squad.
I suppose unless an investigation takes place, we would never know if a breach took place. Given the way SL self interest mugged Leigh of their money at start of season I would not expect a SL club to hold their hands & go oops!
Broncos should have argued the point before the season started & at least argued the covid case when they were due to go & not the fairness issue then but we're used to numpty leadership here.
Some might argue a number of our players have played part time for some of this season anyway.
