i fear if the game goes down to 10, more fans will lose interest if we have to play even more loop fixtures plus a magic weekend! clubs atm need a minimum of 14 home games, so that would be 5 loop fixtures in total (not including magic weekend)...seems fans are the last to be thought of again!

Like the 14 team SL idea - Hate the 10 team SL idea - i dont just want to be playing the same teams over and over - its bad enough as it is but you could end up playing the same team 5 times in a season with CC, Loop and Play Offs - i just wouldnt be interested in that at all

Don't like the idea of 4 teams getting relegated at once. Can you imagine the mad scramble for players.
Return to franchising. Start with 12 teams and look to increase to 14.
Play everyone home and away, plus magic round. Gap in the season for a stand alone international weekend.
Revamp the CC too. Get the SL teams in at round 5?
Maybe have a midweek 9s comp? Or a stand alone weekend like a 2nd magic weekend.
Making the league 14 teams and then relegating 4 will confuse the already weary and disinterested General sports fans even more. We've had more restructures than even RL diehards can keep up with.
14 teams with no loop games is my preference. Id add Toulouse and Bradford and be giving York and Newcastle help to get up in a few years time.

Could see a return to franchising to make sure preferred clubs get a place and geographic overlap criteria are applied (apart from the exempted Wigan/Saints/Wire of course )

I commented on this before and if it’s a case of going down to a 10 team league then that will be me done. It’ll be the final nail in the coffin of pro RL. Fans have never liked the loop fixtures and it’s never a level playing field so adding more loop fixtures in will only add to the disenchantment and show just how disconnected the sport is from its fan base. If clubs thinks it’s going to be better because they share less of the pot it’ll be the opposite as they will be shrinking the pot to start with. Expanding the number of teams and the sport is the only way it will generate more appeal both in terms of fans but media and financial backing. Shrinking the league just literally shirinks the game the sport and appeal. If the people can’t see that then no wonder the sports in the sh!tt3r
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

If you were an outsider looking in, then this would make sense. Sport doesn’t deal in common sense though. It could work if the club went on to be a hugely successful one, as young supporters would embrace it, as they dont have the years of following a team. It would take one or two generations to be accepted in its own right though. It would either be a powerhouse or a gigantic flop.
Got a feeling the decisions being made now will either kill or cure the game.

Never going to happen, if your are from a Black and White or Red and White family you are taught to hate the other lot from birth.
There's also a distance factor, play games at Craven Park (which is actually most likely as they have a much better deal than we do) and fans in West Hull aren't making what can be an hour long trip in traffic on a Thursday/Friday. Likewise Rovers fans will be put off coming West. If it happened its likely new amateur clubs would be formed and diehards would go watch that.
I'm not aware of any UK sports teams in any sport that have merged and made a success of it. Its just not what we do where, unlike America where an NFL club can just move miles away and fans turn up.
