Taukeiaho up for grabs next season. He's a
Tongan powerhouse prop and could be a good replacement for Hill.
29 years old so he's 3 yrs left in him.
Can we afford him chaps?

I bloody hope so, i just read about this and thought i'd have a nosey to see if anyone knows where he's off. If he's coming here i'd be a very happy bunny :-)
But apparently he's been offered a massive wage which i doubt we could offer as Williams and Widdop already have the Marquee spots. One can dream though :-)

I'd be surprised if he came to SL.

It'd have to be marquee money which should count us out, I think.

Current contract worth £370k roughly, depends what he could demand. That sort of money is beyond a SL club I would say for a prop. At 29 if he is any good (I’ve honestly no idea) then I can’t see him leaving the NRL, he could sign a 2 year deal then still be in a position to get a SL contract when the NRL start thinking he is too old.

I imagine Hill is on a significant contract. But doubt we could go much north of £175k

He’s going to either Saints or Leeds.

He’s rejected hull and wire straight away

According to Johnny Davidson it's between Leeds and Saints for Taukeiaho. It's an interesting one because he's not out of contract, he has a year remaining with Sydney Roosters. They are desperate to give Joey Manu a new contract who is said to be the next NRL player to earn a million a season and they need to do it by November which is when he can go to market for offers elsewhere.

Taukeiaho is very highly regarded and is one of the most consistent props in the NRL. He'd be the best prop in Super League, certainly a player that would massively improve any SL team. I'd love that to be Saints, but I suspect it might be Leeds as I don't think they'll have any marquee players for next season.
