I thought that too. The timing of his departure made me think he was off to union.

Don't think the timing of the departure was at all planned to be now, so don't think any pre planned union job.
Hope he stays in league, he does need to be given a chance with a top level club, the union link tho, bloke needs to pay his bills.

He says he told CEO & Hughes he was not re-signing next year & wanted to give club time to organise going forward. He was happy to stay till end of season to help replacement settle in. They decided it was better he went now. Another short sighted & dumb decision made by the club depending on who they appoint.

So basically a dummy spit from Hughes. Regardless of what he had lined up, the side would haqv benefited from him staying whilst the club organised a replacement.
Big Mac used to say that our youth were fantastic....maybe we could poach him from Oldham?
Other than that, unless Tony R fancies another run, I reckon we're stuck with the apprentice dog groomer....which doesn't bode well for our SL aspirations.....I wonder what Wimbledon will make of park standard RL with 300 fans next year?

I think you will find that question & answer was regarding the RFL rather than the Broncos club. Not that should mitigate the shambles that Hughes has been & planless to boot.

Have to say that if that is Carney's standard of interviewing, then he needs help, thought he was pretty poor in delivery.

sorry....we're a profess.....sorry, we were a professional SL club and no matter what the RFL did or didn't do, the bloke stuffing £1.5 million a year into a black hole should maybe have realised he wasn't immortal and that we weren't Real Madrid.
The Fact that Danny Ward, the coach that got us up and nearly kept us there on a shoestring, had never seen any strategic plan....from anyone.....SHOCKING!
