What’s with new passes being issued Monday next and after that old passes will be void. Can’t see the rational for this!

Probably there’s been an upgrade of some sort of the system software or readers etc.

I’m thinking of the cost, especially when someone saying finances are a struggle.

If the system needed an update for the readers in particular there’s not a lot the SMC can do. It’s an issue we have at work to with some systems we work with that have RFI tags, usually our customers have a contract in place to cover these instances.

Learned today that City/SMC have changed their ticketing company. As we (FC) also use that’s the reason for requiring new cards.
So another City change ends up costing us money.
