Orangeman, if giving free tickets to youngsters is such a good idea, whata happened to all those kids that were given free tickets in the past? Not saying if i agree or not with free kids tickets but its been tried, obviously long term it makes little difference.
When i was under 16 i never got a free ticket to any game, i still watched it.
That aside i thought this was a thread about the game, not club bashing

Good to see a few haven fans making the trip down from cumbria, got to be a good 6 hours each way in that coach. Pretty vocal as well.
Well done for making the effort marra.

Easy, lobbing free tickets around without a fan retention strategy is very likely to end up as a near 100% failure in the long run. Doing targeted approaches, sorting out your match day offering and deploying a fan retention strategy has a real - though not 100% guarantee - of long run success

There are numerous examples of clubs in varying sports who have revitalised using that strategy. The strategy is sound, the execution wasn't.

I understand that they came down for the weekend. Arranged through their club.

It certainly is a long trip, 800 mile round trip for us. I remember in 2016 getting to Whitehaven, to find the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
We spent quite a bit of time with the team in the bar as the coach driver needed his rest period. We got the players food after they had left.
The game was replayed was a couple of weeks later. It snowed on the way up but we got our game.

Not like Monkey to miss a trick!

Yet to see any merchandise at any game this season.

The only shirts were the ones given to season ticket holders. ( Not a good idea in my opinion )

Quite a few small sports clubs are scrapping merchandising in the ground and using print on demand. The traditional method requires a potentially large outlay, which you hope to get back.

With the ever present risk of Covid restrictions on gates etc I can understand why the club may have chosen not to take the risk of buying in stock this year to be fair.

Then surely Halfdan they should have said as much. Oh silly me, that requires communication which is alien to the club.
