Hi Wilf, don't think we've ever met or even spoken, but have to say a huge, huge thank you for producing the diary for all these years.
I think I've probably read every edition, eagerly awaiting each week to read the next one, so this may sound dramatic, but I for one will have my life altered (and serious withdrawal symptoms!) Thanks again - you'll never know what pleasure you've brought to many of us.

born in airlie str,1939.german landmine that fell on boulevard, also blew up half of our house.thats why i dont like germans.not because they blew our house and boulevard up,but because the gerry pillock was aiming for craven park.
oh no mondays will no longer be the same, always agree with your summing up of games and situations regarding hull fc, seem to be on the same wavelength as you, being around the same age and been supporting the lads since the 1950s anyway thanks for doing the diary for so long, and wish you all the best for the future coyh
Thanks for all the diaries that you have written Pete, the diary is the reason I joined the forum, you have never tried to force your opinions on your readers you have always been objective and have been a fantastic spokesman for the fans in matters of importance for RL. The situation the club finds itself in with the SMC/Allams seems to have influenced your decision which I truly hope won't be final. My very best wishes to you and your family.

What an old faithful this guy is, wonderful dedication shown for years writing our diary, I’m so pleased he’s going to continue to write special editions for us.
It’s been our Sports mail for free, informative, thought provoking, and told from the heart, the research and historical recollections have been an absolute pleasure to read,
A true black and white, one of our own. Thanks Pete
Pete, I look forward to reading your diary every week and know that many others do as well.
Sad that after all this time you've decided to hang up your boots but I can appreciate why. I understand all too well the mental health problems you described and how hard it is to admit it. Thankfully more and more people are being made aware how people suffer from this horrible illness through the campaigns that have raised it.
You have eloquently voiced the joy and frustration of supporting this great club of ours and the time and effort you take to write your diaries is appreciated by all.
Just make sure Wilf if you hear any whispers let us all know!
