At last we can get back to The Shay this weekend but why oh why do we have a council in Halifax which seems so anti sport? They seem to put every obstacle possible in the way of our two main sport's clubs chances of progress. Sunday's match against Featherstone can go ahead but....No away fans, no drinks allowed, no food allowed, no club shop open immediately before or after the match, masks must be worn at all times even when sat in't stand. What is up with these people? You may say at least we can go and should be thankful. To that I say we've just been to watch Fax at Newcastle. The experience was brilliant. Masks only when walking around, food stalls open, bar open. Visiting fans were welcomed by smiling and very helpful stewards, all in all a great day out and excepting the farce of obtaining tickets the whole day went smoothly. Rant over! Here's hoping for some normality soon. Up The Fax!

I suppose every ground is different and risks are different in every area so things won't be the same everywhere but I can understand the frustration - Kingston Park area has a very low Covid infection rate compared with Halifax. Maybe that's why things are different?
Newcastle do have a great setup though. A well run club.

Good afternoon Mick , I hope you are well?It seems a lifetime since I last saw you .I was thinking of making the trip to the Shay on Sunday , but have been told only Fax fans ,I’ve had both my jabs though .
I went to the LSV on Sunday , we had around 300 Hudds fans ,all fans space out in every stand , stewards were very good , only had to wear masks when walking around, , but our negative was 30 quid to begin , well 24 for pensioners , still pricey , as you Yorkies would say ,How Much .?
I will watch the Fax game on Streamer , take care .

.....and to top it all, for Town's game at least, you must show photo ID plus a recent utility bill with a Halifax address on it! You really couldn't make it up.
