Just watched the stock cars (on live stream) at Odsal and it raises the odd point. Mostly about cars on the pitch. When stock cars were a regular feature, the pitch was protected from incursion by cars with what were basically heavy railway type sleepers down the edge of the field and not, as tonight, pretty ineffectually by old tyres. Damage from cars will be a problem if that isn't addressed.
As someone who previously watched quite a bit of stocks and speedway I was surprised to see they've reversed the way they race - it used to be anti-clock with the start and finish in front of the now gone 'Old Stand', ie the pop terrace.
