Was happy to just get a win today. We were the better team, and for once won a close game. Sezer is a class act.

We had 4 tries disallowed. One was a blatant foul and the
Knock on was difficult to tell but the two offside decisions an absolute joke.
I thought we were the better team but still some stupid mistakes for which the weather didn’t help.
Moments of class from Sezer and Gaskell and great forward stints from Yates, Jones, Lawrence and English.

Deserved to win this close game as we deserved to lose the close one to Hull KR. Leutele is class and by far our best signing, looking forward to seeing more of him. I have not been a fan of Gaskell in the past, but he has been our best player this year by some distance so far it's the forwards that really worry me, not enough go forward against the bigger packs.

A win's a win and I'm happy to get the two points... But, the last quarter of the game were terrible to watch.
At 12-12, every set from both teams ended with a drop goal attempt. Such a negative way to play rugby.
The Giants had scored two tries and had more disallowed yet didn't have the confidence or trust in their abilities to go for a try (Leeds too).
With spectator numbers declining, that was no way to get more people coming back

Things we have not seen on the site this week. Sack the coach, it is just 5 drives and a kick, the new signings are rubbish, sezer is over rated , we hang too far back on the tackle line , we are going backwards, we will never win anything with this team etc etc. Bizarre when the only thing we did different this week to the last 4 weeks was win. We were poor at times, we were good at times, we were NO different this week to the last few weeks. Yet none of the bullshit that passes for “opinion”. I see us being very different to the last few years. We compete in every game, we keep trying. We have a points difference of - 30 which means that we are a converted try from drawing every game. That is progress. Still i am sure we will be back to normal soon if we lose to saints next week. With the opinions coming in Watson is rubbish he was brought in to win the cup Etc !!!!!. I feel very confident in Watson and with the right support I think he could be the man to lead us to some success.

Huddersfield Giants 2013 over achievers

Huddersfield Giants 2014 under achievers ??????????

I'm with you, Watson deserves time to be given a proper chance. I am sure Ken Davy will understand that. I also think new players deserve time.We have struggled upfront in the first few games and I hope that will improve.

Over the past few seasons the main problem has been that we could not play for the full 80 minutes it seems to me Watson has changed this.Give the guy time.

Because we didn't play with only 5 drives and a kick this week so why would i mention it? The new signings barring leutele are disappointing still (no idea what cunningham brings to the team), and we will still struggle against the bigger packs. yes we progressed, but all the hype before the season started was on finishing in the top 4, so obviously they were going to get judged against that. Being a fan (in my opinion) doesn't stop you calling it as it is, when credit is due you give credit and when you see something that's poor you call it.

There was a BIG difference this week from previous weeks, we were in the game. We were never in the game against Hull, Saints, Catalan and we shouldn't have been in the game v Hull Kr, only some very poor refereeing brought us within distance, as it did today for Leeds. I saw things to be positive about today, i haven't in any of our other performances to be honest, sorry to say.

Watson may or may not turn out to be good for us, but on the first 4 games some vs teams we were on paper as good as we were not competitive, which as a fan was very disappointing.

I think the new signings on the whole are decent. It just takes time when you have so many new faces.
Cunningham is ok and we only had one hooker last year which was asking far too much of O Brien to play 80 minutes every week. I think Yates, Jones and Lutele are top quality and Cogger shows promise and I think will get better as the season progresses.

I would also add Sezer missed the first two games and looked far from fit against Hull kr. Makes a huge difference to have your star player back.
