Not sure how many have seen the announcement that Amateurs & Children are going to have to pay a yearly cost to The RFL? This was never needed under BARLA.

Why am I not surprised at that. What will they get for their money jaybs?

Not sure? perhaps some clubs with bars and good fund raising could help, but asking young junior players to pay for membership? We are going backwards.

It appears. The RFL have been fielding very many concerns from Amateur or as they now call them community clubs and leagues have been stirred to something like fury by the RFL’s move to introduce annual membership fees (£25 for adults and £20 for juniors) on players.
It's like the old joke about the 2 blokes camping and big grizzly appears.
One guy starts to run but the other waits to put on his running shoes. The first guy says "they won't help you outrun it", to which the second responds, "I don't need to outrun it, only you"
Nobody I've met on here or at games has ever claimed "they" could run the club, but a great many could run it better than it has been!
As for Brighton. Good luck to them. I hope it works, because with the decreased funding for the championship and below that the "new sky" deal will deliver means the tap for trickling down further has just been closed.
