We didn't "get rid", he asked to leave for family reasons.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Swift and Fonua are our best centres and need to play

I loved Fonua in his first spell at the club, but these days I wonder if he's still got that X factor. Is it confidence? Did his injuries down under take a toll? Is it just a case of him taking a while to find his feet again? Whatever the problem is we have barely even seen a glimpse of the player he was before. I've been happy enough with him this year. He's worked hard for the team and has done ok, but nothing at all to get you out of your seat. Hopefully he does indeed explode soon.

no bans for us, Lineham has 'another' ban, 3 games for striking off the ball......becoming a bit of a liability for them imo.....Inglis to make his debut against flat footed fonua and those high balls?

If Inglis does play it will probably be at centre. Instead of worrying about him we should be more interested in the damage that Griffin/Tuimavave can do running at an old, out of shape guy that hasn't played for a couple of years. A great player in his day, one of the best. But I don't want us to show him any respect, let's see whether he's still got it.

I think Fonua was signed on the basis of his first spell, but my brother watches the NRL avidly and said at the time he was playing for Wests that he looked half the player he had at Hull and that we should avoid trying to resign him. I am beginning to think he was right and it is hard to justify him in the team over Faraimo at present.

Whilst Mahe hasn’t hit his best form yet, he’s looked strong fit and willing, I think he’d be unlucky to lose his place in the side, he has not really done anything wrong. Although It’s a good problem to have, choices.

Much as I like Mahe, he's not really impressed me so far. The effort may be there but he's far from the Mahe we knew before. Bureta deserves his chance and he will know that Mahe is waiting in the wings if he fails to impress. Good incentive scheme in my eyes.

Aye, it’s called pushing at an open door!

A lot of Mahe's best games for us were in the centre, I wonder if consideration has been given to moving him to centre for this game and Carlos at 6. It worked well at Wembley 2016 :-)

Could be a good move as playing young Ben for the next five matches whilst Reynolds is out will not help us win some tough matches coming up.
I understand people will say if he is good enough then play him but he needs a lot more experience under his belt to be considered a regular squad player
