The French Government might determine if its citizens or teams can travel abroad but the game is controlled by the RFL so it is incumbent on them to announce if the game is on or off & given that, what is going to happen to the Toulouse v Broncos game. It's not rocket science but seems to be beyond you.

So who set these rules ? The French government or the RFL ?

DC you seem to be missing the point yrself. Toulouse currently are still travelling to York to play.
Whinging about us having to travel to toulouse saying its not level playing field is a bit rich! we are full time in a part time comp, ergo not level playing field but in our favour! Cant have it both ways.
Broncos knew the decision regards club being told to fulfill the fixture. And didnt dispute it!
That decision is made, if we dont like it thats tough really!
The point being with current lockdown rules can either team travel? Thats where the discussion had gone

If the French Govt still allow pro team sport to continue then there is no reason why the game cannot go ahead!
Please take note i have not commented if i think its the right decision that only the full time team should play away at toulouse currently, just that i understand why they made that call, mainly on the understanding why part time teams should not be forced to travel.

Time for The Government to tell The RFL, France is in a mess, and have said tonight they expect it to arrive here in next 2 weeks.

Good pre season Article here from todays Guardian. Has the French at the top, but cites continued covid spreads as the spanner in the works for them. I can see them giving up home advantage as being the best course of action for 2021.

Hardly a fair comparison. Every team in the championship has the same basis either full or part time - no where does it say you have to be one or the other therefore until that is stated it is a level playing field. We are hardly a SL side and we cannot chop, swap and change players like northern teams can so need some form of inducement to keep what we have. However, to compare with whether we are the only team in the championship to go to play in a covid ridden country is unequal. You have to isolate when you return therefore no training days and you take the risk of someone getting covid and spreading it amongst the team, their coaching staff, backroom staff, their families and their friends who then go on to spread to others . Therefore not a level playing field. Love your antagonistic attitude if you dont like it tough but then you are not being put in a precarious position and maybe you have no idea how bad covid is and how easy it is to spread

Tt is strange that London are being made to play as The French open European tour golf event in May has been cancelled as the French government have ordered stricter restrictions and that is in a few weeks time.
