I think they are setting things up again in a similar manner. We may not have strength in depth at this time, but over the year youngsters will improve or leave. So this year we may scrape into the playoffs, but improvement will come and hopefully Year 3 SL.

Agree what's the rush with Wimbledon. Another thing which is a worry we produce great youngsters but never get the benefit of the money, time and energy spent of them. I know it is their future and they all want to play SL or as high a level as possible but I think the contracts should be a longer time to get some benefit before they move on. I feel we produce some of the best youngsters in RL and that shows by how many are scattered around SL and Championship teams, there was a time when this was unheard of

At least Aussies & Kiwis know how to travel & settle in as it's in their DNA & almost a right of passage. While it might be a bit of a generalisation, we have got better value out of them than out Northern players who for whatever reason seem unable to hack it down here for long. A few notable exceptions of course.

Hence my opening comment - not good enough. The youngsters are doing a great job and loads of upcoming talent but need more experience. There is not enough experience for when players are injured.

That is not what I am saying and you know that. You are being pedantic. I want to hold on to our great youngsters a little longer and get benefit from them before other northern teams come in to cherry pick from the crop. If we could hang on to them once they have a bit more experience than we could have a settled team instead of changing so much year on year

It's time for The RFL and Super League to agree that any club in a development area or a lower league club Must receive a payment for Any player signed from them, currently it is rich picking for them! though in my amateur days there was a £50 fee for any player signed, and we had to support clubs to Fight to get that money off most clubs!
