Daryl Powell will leave Cas at the end of this season, the Cas fans are understandably deflated, Warrington are rumoured to be his next job.
Is this the best way to change your coach, with a lingering knowledge that’s it’s all over, or a clean break, maybe not the way we dealt with Radders, but certainly look for a new coach with immediate effect.
What he did at Cas was impressive but I get the impression that he has taken them as far as he could and that he looks for every possible excuse other than his own or team's failings when they do not win, which is why I think he is limited as a coach as he won't accept blame and therefore does not seek to improve himself as a coach.

That’s the point though, he’s still there another season.

I think he is very over rated too and his 'Everyone against Us' attitude gives players a ready made excuse to feel sorry for themselves and throw a pity party when a decision goes against them.
It will be interesting how he gets on this season without Danny Orr also.

Is the barometer all polished, set and ready to go for the upcoming season mate? Success and victory in finals are even harder for some fans to take.

Defence is the barometer of any team and those late tries at York irked me
Giants will be a good test of the barometer that sits in my hall way
