I agree. Practically spent half his professional career at London and although I’ve not seen him play for you seems he really ripped in hard for you guys.

Despite the lack of much depth in the club statement I think Eddie will know he’s done his best and that the majority of London fans and staff will have appreciated it.

Good luck to him, he deserves to play SL. I can understand the club might be upset but its not like it was unexpected so should have been planning for this.

Gus Mackay we salute you!!

Agree, however it is clear that the club are pleased to see the back of him - hence I will boo him if we ever have a fixture against Wakefield.

Loyalty is dead these days - the club clearly didn't want him to leave (based on the statement) - I thought you were their number 1 supporter?

Listy, not sure what you are getting at. Number 1 supporter of who?
Not sutr about the loyalty comment, no one stays in any job because of loyalty! And why should any player show any more loyalty to a club, clubs are more than happy to offload a player coach or other staff if they are no longer perfoming, thats nothing to do with loyalty.

Days of loyalty to club in any sport disappeared years ago ... all about the money and chance to play with the big boys

And of course he’s going home

As long as they give their all while accepting a wage that is all the club and fans have the right to ask. Eddie did this, he always went above and beyond. Its a business and if clubs dont want a person any longer as part of the club no matter who it is they will get rid of them. Players move teams to hopefully gain experience and play at higher levels. Their career is short therefore I think booing a player who has given their all because he wants to progress his career when the chance comes along is beyond contempt. I would never want to see deceit gaining anything as has happened in the past (we all know who I mean) but when a player wants to move on let him. He has a chance for himself and if you refuse to let him go you wont get the best from him. I may be wrong but is this the first time since Denis Moran that we have actually been paid a fee

Its also not for ML to like or otherwise as he is Commercial Manager not CEO or Owner but usually when our players leave, even those under contract, there is something from Hughes thanking them etc etc. Not this time & even Wakefield's name isn't mentioned. I'm sure Eddie was a big part of Danny's plans so you can understand the terseness of the statement. Don't think Wakefield have conducted themselves well though.

LOL, in what way have we not conducted ourselves well.. We made an offer and we waited for London and Battye to sort it out. If he wanted to say no or London has we'd have left it at that, Grow up.
