Must have been absolutely raging about Dixon then? He didn't even get a 'terse statement'!
Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number-- Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you-- Ye are many -- they are few.'
How can you make that comment about wakey? We have no idea how they conducted themselves, maybe eddie was the driver of the move. He obviously saw the opportunity to keep playing at SL level, wakey liked him and negotiated a deal.
Why boo Battye we dont know what's gone on, only hearsay. Its a business and he wants to get on with his life via a better position with better prospects. Also I dont fully understand what Deadcowboys1 means. Is he upset with Battye or ML or me
Don’t know ins and ours so can’t comment. My son and I have sponsored Eddie for last few years. Has been great for the team, always have 100%. Good luck to him for the future, cannot blame him for trying to better himself, hope he hasn’t joined a sinking ship
Not sure why anyone would want to boo the bloke. He is good enough to play in SL if he can get a gig with a SL team good on him. Clubs will very quickly get rid of players, so players need to take opportunitied when they come up, playing careers are short
As a wakey fan I’m over the moon we have signed Battye.
He has been a loyal servant for London but rugby is a short career and this may well have been his last chance at a decent contract in superleague.
With all the noises I’ve heard and interviews the correct channels were gone through by wakefield not talking to the player without permission and offering a fee/ player swap.
It’s obvious Battye thinks a lot of London but to suggest booing the guy is incredibly churlish imo.
Of course I’d be upset losing a quality player and I’ve been there with Trinity all too often over the years. All parties got something from the deal and hopefully London can find a suitable prop. Navarette is a good start and will go very well indeed.

I would Never boo any player, especially one of our own ex players!
The club's statement was disgraceful. He's been here a long time, worked damn hard and been an integral part of the club. To issue such a pathetic statement was so disrespectful.
