Went as expected. Spurs are quality and tailor made to beat us. Clearly we lack the quality to challenge the top sides but we all know that. Spurs will have been far far fresher today also. It’s a nice little reminder going into Jan window that if any quality player comes available we should try to get. Overall a great Xmas for Leeds.

I actually thought we were poor today with far too many players either losing the ball or passing to the Spurs player.
Harrison and Alioski back to their worse along with Rodrigo and Raphina.
Not sure what it is with Messlier who despite making some decent saves seems to struggle finding the man when playing out of his box.
I couldn`t believe we were thinking of taking Phillips off as he was one of the better players.
Diego Costa in a Leeds shirt would have scored 20 goals this season compared to Bamford.
A LB is a must along with a midfielder of quality and a striker unless we move Rodrigo up front when needed.
And I didn`t think it was a penalty but stupid challenge by Alioski just the same.

Diego Costa wouldn't last 5 minutes at Leeds. He's completely the opposite type of person Bielsa wants in the dressing room. He's a bell!

It’s not fit for purpose. The whole point of VAR is to get decisions like that right. If it can’t do that it’s totally redundant. The people who operate it are a shambles.

Re read my post and meant to say someone like Costa.
I think my point is more to do with the type of forward I prefer.
Someone who can put themselves about which unfortunately Bamford doesn`t do.
Don`t get me wrong Bamford has proved a lot of doubters including me wrong.
But I feel a goal poacher in the mould of Costa, Defoe, Vardy (if only) would be scoring more goals.
The fact it doesn`t fit in with Bielsa is more the issue.
Just like he thinks Alioski is a LB it doesn`t make it right.
On another note if Henderson was available would you take him on loan over Messlier?

Henderson isn't good with his feet, even Messlier is better in that aspect of the game. I'd rather have Romero if we go for a keeper, but I feel it's not the top priority in terms of recruitment.
Looking at the kind of players we're being linked with, it seems midfield is the area we're looking to strengthen.

definitely need to be looking to strengthen the midfield, it really is where we get over run at times against the very top sides and we don't have adequate cover for Klich or Phillips really.

i think we will be far more competitive against the better sides when we get our defence back to how it should be, until we do games like yesterday are going to remain very tricky.
