I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go in for an 8 in Jan I really wouldn’t. We clearly need an 8 that’s why they went for Cuisance. Centre back is a real worry though for me. If cooper out for a while we’re in big big trouble. At least we’ve a full week until Burnley.
I really wish Bielsa wasn’t so stubborn with the squad. It’s his biggest weakness for me. It’s also a strength I’ll admit but it’s frustrating at times.
If we do any business in Jan, an 8 will be our first priority, then a LB. But I wouldn't be surprised if we waited until the summer. After being stung in the previous Jan windows under Bielsa
More I think about this the more that result was going to come against us. We’re absolutely wide open too often and a good team playing well on their day were going to get a hat full.
We’re getting more n more overrun in midfield and closed down easier out wide but I don’t know why.. Klich is most definitely off colour and Philips was really poor yesterday, I believe he was partially to blame for a couple of the goals. Less said about Alioski the better and Cooper and Ayling at CB didn’t know what day of week it was. Martial and James had Dallas in their pockets at will.. I know we can’t compare to them and we’ve only just come up but to lose in the manner we did was not good at all.
It comes down to quality rather than style of play. When we were in the championship we had one of the best defenses in Europe, but the quality was much lower in that league. The huge increase in quality is hard to bridge in one window, especially with almost no pre season. Defeats are never easy to take, but I'm actually less downbeat about this game than I was with the West Ham game. At least we still created chances. We won't come up against that kind of quality every week, so we have to keep going, and hopefully we will pick up results against the teams around us.

I was saying the same thing this morning re quality. The style of play is great with better players at our disposal and against poorer teams. We are committing suicide playing like we do against teams like MU and Chelsea. Whilst we did well against Liverpool and MC it was early days and top teams have sussed us out. We have too many championship standard players who will get lucky now and then but will get found out against top teams. A 16th finish this year will be an achievement for me. Bielsa`s stubbornness will cost us. It`s like he has his loyal followers who he will squeeze into the team no matter what position they play or how badly they have played the previous week. Our squad is not big enough either. Hopefully Llorente`s fit for Burnley and we will have to play Struijk alongside him or Ayling with Bramah to RB Davis to LB give Klich a rest in midfield and move Dallas there or Hernandez.

Yeah I do agree with that. Playing the way we do with the players we have will lead us to a few good beatings from the better sides but also gives us a great chance of hammering some other lesser teams. I just hope it doesn’t knock out confidence too much but yesterday should be a sobering reality check for all Leeds fans.

2-0 down after three minutes the game was as good as over before it had started, always thought we had to bang at it and ride the first 15 minutes but that was just a hammer blow. i'm just glad they didn't get more than 6 because it could have got historic levels messy. our defence just isn't good enough as it is when we are so open against these types of teams and i guess we all know that until we get Koch and Llorente together we will continue to suffer as we won't change our approach. Tottenham will likely have a field day against us in a couple of weeks with that front 3.
i'm not too down about cooper being out, i really don't think he is up to it at this level anyway so putting Struijk in there should be fine against Burnley and West brom who won't offer too much more than set pieces and the odd break away. if we can pick up 4 points in the next 2 games that would be excellent and this will quickly be forgotten about and we will be sitting pretty in mid table.
