Supporting LUFC is bad for your health... shambolic at the back. No protection in midfield. They’re pressing us out wide which is nullifying our attack
Yep. It’s so clear we lack quality in a few areas when we play teams with quality like Man U. Far too much for us. It’s a stark reminder today that there’s lots of work to do
You'd think so especially if Cooper is out for a while. It's frustrating because we could have scored at least 4 ourselves. But we gifted them their goals, and they were ruthless.

Not one positive today. A decent centre forward for us would have scored 2 in the first half and I think their 4th came from Bamford giving the ball away. Defence was a joke and the midfield none existent. Score could have been 10-5 today. Klich was tired after Newcastle and did nothing in the first half. I would play Struijk and Cresswell at the back with Ayling and Dallas FB`s Hernandez in midfield with Greenwood and Gelhardt on the bench for the next game. Unfortunately we played into their hands and it was like a training match for them.
I've watched all the u23s games this season, and Cresswell (and Casey) are nowhere near ready. If you give the ball away like we did in midfield, you're going to expose your defense. I'd definitely bring Davis in at LB, but I wish we had a proper 8 to bring for Klich because he's been woeful defensively for a while.

Fair point mate I`ve not watched him at all this season just going on the fact he`s the only natural centre half. Agree re Davis to LB with Struijk and Ayling in the middle which isn`t great but not much choice. When will Llorente be back/ Also agree Klich needs a rest with possibly Shackleton and Hernandez in midfield. i would still prefer Rodrigo up front swapping with Bamford who must have one of the worse conversion rates. How does Greenwood look like in the U23`s?
Apparently Llorente will be training from tomorrow, so hopefully he'll be back for Burnley, it could mean we can get Ayling back to RB and Dallas back at LB at least.
Of the players in the u23s, I think the ones that look the most ready are, Drameh (RB), Davis, Geldhert and maybe Greenwood. Greenwood has good movement, and is a good finisher, but I'm not sure he's physically ready for the step up, but I do think he'll make the match day squad in the NY if he maintains form and fitness. Geldhert and Drameh definitely look like they'll be able to handle the step up now. They look too good for the u23s.
To be fair to Bamford, Rodrigo has missed a few big chances himself, and gave the ball away for their 3rd goal. I like them both in the team because it gives us extra height and airial threat. But central midfield is our main weakness. If we could give Pablo Shackleton's pace and energy, or give Shackleton Pablo's brain we would have a world class player, but I'm not sure either of them could do the job on their own for 90 minutes
