I’ve no problem with Walker returning, he did well for us in the Championship and certainly didn’t disgrace himself in the one season in SL. Be a shame to lose Big Eddie though.

No brainer for me. If you are serious about promotion, you dont let your best players go. Battye going would be bad. I like Walker but there is no comparison for me if you are talking about which one I would prefer.
It would be unsettling for the squad if Eddie was forced to stay against his will. However if Wakey want to sign him I would make them pay hard cash. No player swap. I would think that Alex Walker might be available for free if we waited. Wakey will need to cut their squad.
I suspect like many I would be very sorry to see Eddie go, but realistically holding back if he wants to go would be pointless.
I like Walker but not as a swap. Walker and cash or Walker+ other players(if there is anyone Danny wants). We must not let ourselves get screwed as we have too often in the past.......
No surprise if Ted does leave, he should be playing in SL and, if we're honest, at the age of 29 he doesn't have too many years left at the top level.
Agree with other posters though, we should be looking for cash from Wakefield. Walker is a decent player, particularly strong under the high ball, but continues to be underweight and in our SL season developed a nervousness around decision making with the ball in hand. They'll end up letting him go at some point and if we still want him that would be the time. He's nowhere near a priority for us, we need props, so take the money and go find some.
Surely now we know our fate we should be full steam ahead signing players I don't believe we haven't approached anyone yet either way sl or championship I'd have hoped there's players lined up

It Was rumoured that if we had been promoted then there were signings waiting, but they were dependent on the promotion. The Championship is getting more competitive, Bradford, Featherstone & York are determined now as well as ourselves.

He's not been terrible but Jowitt has come of age and Hampshire is better than Walker IMHO and with Gigot floating about he's surpless.

Your joking, I can't remember the last time we paid for a player, you're barking up the wrong tree there, it's Leeds you need for that.

I very much doubt you can do that, in fact, I'd go as far as to say what planet are you on?
Most players have a get-out clause in their contract should a SL club come calling. Even if they don't it's not a great idea to force a player to stay.
Now I have no idea if Battye wants to join us or stay with you. I do know however that you won't get any cash from us. Walker as a player swap is just press nonsense, we can't make him leave any more than you can make Battye stay.
