For me it doesn’t matter if we pay someone 100 k or 300k , as long as they are the right signing for the club . The club take care of the money side and know if we can afford it .
That's not what I mean,I know how the cap works. I rather use it for a transfer fee to bring in someone younger and still have money for a top forward.
If you look at the players leaving, cap isnt going to be a problem for us next season.

I have a feeling this will be another Scott Prince / Stacey Jones scenario though in that despite being heavily linked we'll lose out.
My thoughts as well. Prince was all but done but had a better offer at the 11th hour. We don't want to be used to broker a better deal with an NRL team. This is all probably immaterial as I would be very surprised if we could get anywhere near his wage demands.
It would be massive and I mean massive for the club. Forget his ability on the field, his social media presence alone makes it worthwhile, he has nearly 4 times as much followers then the clubs account on Instagram alone. He could really bring the club together like Pritchard did in 2016.
Sure on paper 400k is alot for a player who could be prone to injuries but his presence off the field and in training will be massive, that's without taking into account what he could do on the field. He's worth the punt for sure, the club would be in a better position after he left.

I'd look elsewhere.
With a player in the class of Prince, Jones and Marshall there is always the possibility that agents of said players use clubs in SL as a way to pressure NRL clubs and increase the fees involved for their player. I think I the club will be cautious of this happening. What may tip things towards FC is the Wests connection at the club with BH, Ellis & Fonua. Time will tell.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Marshall's wife has a successful media career, not sure they'd be willing for her to give that up, or at least the TV side of it.
