Agreed. Southgate needs to play him in that position for England. Raphinha looks a superb bit of business too. I really want him anc Rodrigo to play a lot together as when they do we’ll put more chances away. Klich was magnificent too. Though Harrison did well but should have had 2 goals. Needs to improve there.

Phillips and Klich both excellent today along with the 2 centre backs.
Alioski too had a good game along with Raphina and Messlier.
Klich was absolutely shattered with 10 minutes to go and thought Pascal could have come on for him.
As much as I like Bamford he should have been on the scoresheet yet again.
I know Costa was only on for 10 minutes but he looked really poor.
Oh and have to disagree about Harrison who was better than last week but still a 5 out of 10 from me.

was always going to be a solo special if we were going to win as it has seemed like the goal was cursed over the last two games if we had score a dozen goals over both games it wouldn't have been unjust.

can't fault any of them only player i have slight concerns over is Cooper who i feel struggles reading the game at times at this level and over the whole season is going to get found out a fair few times. Raphinha looks a level above, already repaid part of his transfer by delivering 3 big points. Phillips class, we just look so much more in sync with him there. onto Chelsea with no pressure and certainly will give them a good go.

For all the criticism Harrison gets, only 2 players have created more chances in the PL this season, KDB, and Bruno Fernandez

I though Harrison was good tbh but should have scored 2. They were huge chances. If we had someone of Richarlisons class in his position we’d be lethal.

Copper I thought did pretty well, one of his better games but in expect him to make way over the next year for like of Llorente etc.

Priority has to be good cover for Philips going forward. I’m not convinced we’ve anyone in the squad good enough at this level to be good cover for him. He’s so vital to how we play. Carragher was purring over him in comms

100% agree about the cover required for Phillips.
Maybe we are thinking that`s going to be Forshaw who hasn`t played for 2 years almost.
A decent loan signing would need to be playing on a regular basis and that is unlikely.
Some choices to be made in January but I won`t hold my breath.
WRT Harrison yes he does create chances as that`s how we play.
But a class player on that wing would also be scoring more and a class CF would be the leagues top scorer by a country mile.

I wonder how Cuisance is getting on in France. Would be interesting to see given our doubts on fitness. Not that he’s a defensive mid by the way but interesting to see as he could play in a number of roles
