Really great news. Like a new player since he became a bench player.
2 more years of that, with johnstone gaining game time and learning from Danny.

Good that he has acknowledged that he is no longer an 80 minute tackling machine. He and the team have looked far more potent when he comes off the bench. This different role will hopefully add longevity to his career. Well deserved.

Certainly deserves a new deal,much better since he has been spelled. I would have only given him a one year deal though.

Offers his best from the bench now and really provides impact. Great to see.

unsurprised, not exactly overwhelmed, 1 year would have been more sensible. I hope it is a reduced deal and he isn't captain next season. A good player and a club man, there is no doubt, but to say he has been a 'revelation' is just silly.

After his heights and man of steel season in which he was awarded a deserved big contract, hopefully the club have been wise and given him one with a sensible wage that reflects his current status.

Happy to keep him around as he's improved his form under Last and is very effective off the bench.
