Jake Trueman would be the ideal choice but would cost mega money to get him out of Cas.

Lolohea would be another choice.

I reckon we are going to have to pay a fee as I don’t think there is any player that fits the bill out of contract.

Rankin is not a six, decent full back but never a half back.
Its going to be a problem finding a running half with pace but its a priority and im sure the club are on top of it and we will find someone just like we did when Albo was signed..

Also HullFC's walk up ticket sales must be amongst the lowest in the league, its pass sales that keep the club afloat and of course they got the full pass income for 2020.

As I've said in another thread they need to think carefully about some kind of money back guarantee or money off a future pass if games cancelled kind of deal or pass sales will be a struggle. Some simply can't afford it, others will edge their bets and just pay on the day as we never sell out. Luckily the team hitting form at the right time helps massively.

..... what do you think the walkups would have been for the 2nd home derby, 12000 maybe, a lot of money.
I reckon walkups for most other games will have been around 2-3K, it adds up to a lot of money.

All budgeted for, for this year and next.

Wigan reckon covid testing for them next year could amount to £120k, a lot of money, unless someone else pays.

Sky money next year down by £250k per club, a lot of money.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Im not suggesting the club hasnt lost out, just pointing out most industries haven't had Government cash directly except for the Furlough scheme. I'd say our walk-up crowd is 1-2k usually, and don't forget the SMC get a cut. We also get little to nothing off the bars. Which to me makes that income in the lower half of the league. At some clubs like Wakefield its all about the walkup gate and match day sales, largely due to the poor stadium and weather.

:? Weird

Don't know him, but I'd still replace Bowden & Mantongo with better even though Bowden has had a better few weeks. Would love another Satate in the team.

Completely agree. A 6 and a prop would be my priorities.

He isn’t that good to be honest, quite an underwhelming signing to be honest... would rather stick with players like Lane & Fash - hope to god he isn’t Josh Jones replacement if rumours are to be believed.

I dont see a need for a prop with Bowden, Taylor, Sao, Satae, Fash, Matongo and Brown. I don't see many clubs with a better set of props than that.

Could even argue it's one too many, the game is a lot quicker (way behind the NRL still mind)

Disagree. Bowden and Taylor not great on injuries the last 2 years. We had Matongo, Fash, Satae, Sao and Brown in the Wigan cup game and got steamrollered.
