Since then we have lost or are rumoured to be losing Butler, Fozard, Norman, Armitage, Smith, OAB and Pellisier. We have so far replaced them with 5 kids (not knocking that at all). If we want a player from Wakefield then great, but lets not sacrifice one of our best players to get him.
Our CEO, Michael Carter, is on record saying he would have liked to have kept Eddie, but London said no, and out of respect Trinity did not pursue the matter. We have said no to other clubs enquiring of our own players, therefore, we won’t pursue anyone, once the parent club says no. As a trinity fan, I was sorry to see London relegated on the last day at our place,

I believe MC said they had put a few offers to London to sign Battye possibly involving player movement. I don’t believe he had said they have all been rejected yet and it sounded like there may be some hope a deal can be done.
He definitely did say that if the answer was no then they wouldn’t pursue beyond that and things would be done above board only.

Honestly not sure, it’s not public knowledge. If I were to guess I’d say one of Walker or Gigot. We also have a few good young lads in Bailey, Aydin, Croft, Bowes who would massively benefit from a year in the lower league on loan.
Honestly though I doubt we will hear anything till after the 12th club is decided. If it’s London then I have no doubt they’d keep him.
Battye is good enough for regular superleague and may want to test himself but who knows. I’m sure it will all come out but at least negotiations are being done properly.
I just want to add. Battye was great for us. I like his energy and he has a good engine. Even if it was brief I think everyone at the club and fans appreciated the mountain of effort the bloke put in.
Agree about the negotiations. I dont want him to leave, I would be even more miffed if he were to go and is replaced by someone (or two) on loan for a year. TBH, I dont think that is Wards style, if he did go I think we would want something more permanent
