A retailer can’t charge more at the checkout than what it says on the shelf/online.
Advertising free delivery is usually a marketing ploy to help increase online sales.
It may just be a technical hitch and not intentional by the club, but the free delivery should be honoured, regardless of how much we all love the club.
The 'free delivery' is only in one image on the page, and it doesn't say on every order, when you order an item it states 'shipping' in the quantity screen, and then in the cost says 'added in next step', the delivery charges are clear for each value bracket. If the club have added the shipping on after the OP ordered, that is wrong, if the OP didn't check the order and actually paid the £5.99 and the value of goods at the point of sale then there is no issue.
Yes, sentimentality (given the OP's age and location) may make us believe it would be 'right' for the shipping to be refunded, but, why would the club offer free shipping on already discounted goods?
