I consider this to be the first real challenge of the season. Liverpool and Manchester City were games where we had nothing to lose, and Fulham and Sheffield Utd (given the latters form) were games we were expected to win. Wolves will be around the places in the table we should be aiming for so a win will be a good yardstick. Particularly coming back from the international break

Yep agree totally. Fully deserved a draw. We didn’t threaten enough in the final 3rd though for me and I lost count of the amount of crosses to nobody. Thought Ayling was poor tonight with the ball. Philips looked leggy for me too with 20 left.
Gave em a good game though and we’ve had a really tough start which continues with Villa and Leicester.. I’d like to see Raphinha in for Costa at Villa or Leicester. Hopefully Cooper back too as well as Struijk did we need our capt

A draw would have been about right. Make no mistake Wolves are a good team and defend well. Costa had a great game for the first 10 minutes then did nothing after that. Harrison again apart from one decent cross didn`t provide Bamford with anything. I know this sounds off the wall but I would seriously look at playing Bamford in the 10 slot with Rodrigo up front. Poveda or Raphina in for Costa Friday. Not sure who will play CH if Cooper and Struijik are out.
The service from out wide was awful. But we only had Bamford looking to get on end of crosses it was too easy for Wolves to deal with. Thought Phillips had his worst game so far. Still that’s the premier league for you . Get punished for not taking chances or creating enough.

I was thinking the same about Phillips and also Klich was poor. In fact the midfield as a whole was poor. We seemed to go from back to front with little in between. We would be better playing both Bamford and Rodrigo up front and hope our wingers can at least put more than one decent cross in. Villa will be a tough ask Friday.
Agree. Their mid is very experienced though and it showed. Full of very good internationals. Coady looked superb too. We need to fit Rodrigo with Hernandez too. He looked quite sharp when he came on. Villa will be very tough. We should have brought Barkley into that 10 role for me. Play Rodrigo as the main striker
Rewatched most of the game, and some of our play in that first half was superb. Wolves had 5 at the back and 2 holding midfielders, so they're incredibly hard to breakdown. We got really sloppy in the 2nd half, and gave the ball away too much. Phillips especially probably had his worst 90 minutes under Bielsa.
Hopefully, Cooper, Phillips and Pascal aren't seriously injured.
