Leading candidate for young POTY if he qualifies ? Seems to have taken his post restart opportunities well.

What a great signing.

Hopefully a long Hull FC career ahead of him. A future captain too, I think.

Terrible decision by us to let him go. When the 19's used to play before the first team I used to try and get there early to watch them and he always stood out.
It's always a bit of a shot in the dark with signing youngsters and it's a bit of an unknown how lads turn into blokes, but Cator really was a miss by us.
Hope he has a marvellous career, always great to see Hull lads come through.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

He may lack size but he's repeatedly been credited for his attitude and energy. Fans love that, understandably, and as you say, great to see a local lad have a breakthrough season at this level after his potential had been acknowledged. Only 22, "will only get better" as the saying goes.

been a great signing. Funny how the most underwhelming signing at the start of the season has turned out to be the best

The referee's indecision is final

Great signing, long term 13 for the club . One real positive for this season.

Sometimes players just need the right situation.

Sheens always bigged up his energy and enthusiasm, but we had undersized backrowers coming out of our ears at the time and he wasn’t going to get enough game time in the short-term. Regular playing time at Leigh was probably the best thing for him. Hull is a better fit for him than Rovers was as well - a bigger, better pack, and although they’ve been middling this season, that is better than we’ve managed in SL in recent years. With very few exceptions who have massive talent, young players will struggle to flourish in teams performing at the level Rovers have.

Good luck to Cator, the career path in RL in this country isn’t particularly rationale or efficient but he’s doing a good job of walking it.

'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.

The unexpected star of recruitment. A great engine and composure for someone so early in his game.

Managed and developed correctly you can't not be excited about what he could become.
