Look at the stats, 2 assists, compare him to the likes of Coote, Ratchford etc, he doesn't do what a modern FB needs too.
This season is has looked a bit dodgy under the high ball and was lucky in the 2and half when he let the ball bounce near the line.
Would another coach improve him, I doubt it, he is 28 now and hasnt improved his link up play. I just hope a new coach can see we wont challenge again with these pivots.
I agree on some of that, but still think our best team would of been kelly at 6 and shaul fb, if kelly had played last night we’d of been out of sight by ht, how many chances does Connor want at 6, very poor last night I thought

He is the best passing out of him, Sneyd and Shaul,he gets the ball moving out wide fast. Has the most assists of of any player, gets slot of unfair criticism IMO, but he has been better than Sneyd, who seems to escape most criticism.
If we play Shaul, Kelly and Sneyd, we still have the issue that we have to pivots who cant pass.
For me it has to be
Connor Kelly Sneyd
I think we must try and keep Kelly or sign a 6 if the club dont think Kelly is value for money. We would then have Wynne and McNamara as backup.
I think Shaul will stay though, I just hope he is picked on form by the new coach, as I don't think this has happened the last few years.

Shaul does some good things. I dont think anyone can deny that. He's quick, he's elusive, he makes good yards from DH. But the primary role of a FB in the modern game is to be a third pivot, and he just doesn't have that in him. I'd like to see him on the wing.

As I say we see things differently. Thought both sneyd and shaul played well last night. When sneyd has finished playing people will then realise what an important player he was for us. Anyway just a word on cator . Love his work ethic and tenacity. Also fonua improving and just doing the basics well So on to Cas on Sunday. Hopefully have a few fresh faces back esp in the forwards as some properly need spelling
once a black and white always a black and white COYH

Let Connor and shaul go, keep kelly and get a fb who as speed and can pass a ball, connors to slow and shaul like you say hasn’t got that passing game a fb needs

Don’t agree, he’s talented, but lacks in to many areas for me, lack of speed, bad attitude, is lazy, throws to many bad passes, very inconsistent, time for us to move on imo, let him go, annoys me more than excites me these days

Still think we are missing a trick not playing Shaul at 9. That would enable the club to move Connor to full back even though i think his best position for the club is at right centre. I agree we have a problem with no third pivot when Shaul plays full back and that needs to be addressed by the club.
