Good fighting performance yesterday and with a bit better depth in our squad might have won that let alone nearly got the draw. Pablo should have been on the bench coming on in the second half and for me Douglas might have nullified Salah much more than Dallas did. To have more possession than Liverpool at Anfield is pretty impressive and rarely heard of these days. Thought the 2 centre halves settled in the second half and whilst I thought the first pen was harsh with the ball hitting the hand. The rules state it`s a penalty so lets see if it`s the same all season. Souness doesn`t think we can keep that pace up all season yet we play 8 games less now than last season so hopefully we can prove him wrong.

Struijk impressed me, i would be more than happy to see him as the 3rd centre back for the season on the back of that and see us use money to strengthen midfield and attacking options. Koch was unlucky for the penalty, poor on the van Dyk header but after that he improved and a few times he looked good bringing the ball out which i think we will see more of once he settles, he won't get many bigger tests than yesterday anyway.

Do they? I thought it had been changed so that if the ball deflects off the player's body on to his hand, then it isn't a penalty?

Yeah Struiyk could save us a few quid there.. I still think we need more cover there though. A 10 is a must imo, Hernandez would be hugely effective in 30 min spells from the bench

I was only going on what the pundits were saying that if the ball is heading towards goal and hits the hand it`s a penalty. He did start putting his hands behind his back in the second half which maybe the coaching staff told him to do. Unlucky for sure and I`m sure over the season penalties will not be given for the same offence.

Yes saw that last night! Then he deleted or deactivated his Twitter account when all the journos picked up on it. He’s turndown opportunity to go to Russia with Zenit. It’s a question of whether Leeds willing to pay now I’ve seen we initially offered €25m plus add ons but unsure how true. A top source in Italy says personal terms have been agreed though, it’s just the fee to be agreed
