i thought Phillips went as well as could really be expected under what he was given but Southgate got the team and formation all wrong. should have been a 4 at the back and Kalvin in the holding role on his own with a couple of attacking mids in front of him as it was his only out ball was to the flanks... Rice is pants i really don't get it with him as an international shoe in he's just a bog standard water carrier who if he wasn't english wouldn't get a mention.

Philips was comfortably better than Rice and the game stats proved it. Very overrated is Rice

No idea how Rice gets in the international set up and to some extent suffocated KP`s game.
Agree we were too defence minded against an average team.
I said previously Grealish should have been in there with KP instead of Rice.
Ward Prowse is another who isn`t good enough either.
Sancho looks good in a good team but again similar to Sterling I just don`t get it.

With the season only hours away we're do you think we will finish any thing from 17 upwards will do for me hopefully mid table

I'd take 17th, but I think an 11th to 15th place finish is realistic.

It’s interesting isn’t it. Sheffield United did very well finishing in the top ten playing how they played. You then had Norwich pretty much finishing dead last before lockdown and Villa just edging over the line.

Personally I think we will finish 13th.

i think we could finish anywhere from 5th to 15th, i don't think we will be in a relegation fight there are several teams a fair bit worse than us.
