Simply playing out our sets and making sure we had some end product to keep pressure on Huddersfield and in their own half.
Bearing in mind the lack of training and impact on fitness levels combined with the potential to rapidly run out of steam due to the Covid outbreak I thought the 2nd half was played out quite well. Add in we had lost Sneyd and Ratu leaving us short in terms of interchanges and Fonua binned for 10.
I’ve been a big critic of Fonua but he certainly looked more like the player that left Hull yesterday and needs to continue to replicate that.
Maybe, but I though lacked composure at times, some real rushed kicks, no way should Houghton be kicking on the last.
Agree on Fonua, thought he looked dangerous, really pleased for him, as seen quite a few people that have written him off as a bad signing, not needed (this after about 4 games), his main problem is that he gets drwan in on the wing, I think centre is now the best position for him.

Difficult for Danny, he was covering Sneyd absence, it’s normal for your halves to end up last with the ball, think Albert had run his socks off.

I was wrong about us getting tonked. And fair play to Last for dropping Houghton to the bench. Thats a big call but he was vindicated.- i hope he continues with this
My concern is that as soon as people like Mr average Bowden are fit again they'll walk straight back in the side when players like Cstor and Brown need a run in the side. Theyre the future and i hope Last sees this too

What Dave is saying is that Houghtons kicking was ineffective. One kick went straight into the arms of their full back which puts us on the back foot instead of been able to chase the kick. I agree he is out of position but he has enough experience to know where to put a kick on the last tackle. If Johnstone continues to progress cant see a place for Houghton when we have most of the squad back.

I know what he was saying, and whilst Danny is not the greatest kicker, especially playing in the halves, your being too harsh on one mistimed kick, our captain and hooker was dropped, he took it on the chin, and as per for this amazing character, he did his best for the team he loves. Don’t forget we won the game.

.... down as a grade "B", but still a 1 match ban. Shame, he didn't look out of place yesterday, but now gets another enforced matchday rest.
Sounds like most of those who didn't play against Huddersfield are having to prove their fitness, following strict covid medical recovery protocols, similar to those for concussion.
Fonua seems to have done nothing wrong....

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Begs the question why he was even sin binned in the first place. Video ref had plenty of time to look at it and see that there was nothing wrong with the tackle.

Because the RFL are trying to take big hits out of the game sadly
