Thats not been brave just naming players in the squad When you look at it the only player likely to be dropped from the Salford game will be Ratu and thats an easy decision based on the fact he has Faraimo and Swift available. That said Ratu was far from the worst performer on the day and hardly saw the ball. There is no way he will drop Shaul or Houghton

I wonder if Bienek and Scott have had their loan deals with Leigh sorted out?
Ellis is the only one to confirm he tested negative, so there's one on the team sheet, hopefully a few more to follow.
The Leigh situation must be something to do with money. I cant see Leigh not been prepared to release the players for the rest of the season particularly as they are obviously paying the players and they are not going to play for Leigh. Its a shame for both players because Bienek would most probably have been in the 17 this weekend given our shortage of front rows and Scott would have been ahead of Buchanan who is leaving anyway.

Without Taylor, Sao, Jones, Bowden, Savelio & Matongo we have lacking a serious amount of size and experience down the middle so its going to be a tough ask.
Maye without the size we rely more on being technically better both in defence and attack, move the ball around so that we take advantage of having players that can go longer due to not being bigger. Of course it's going to be tough, there are no easy games, however some have already doubted the value of Jones, Matongo and Bowden several times already. It'll be good to see if players are going to step up to the mark, see if Last can change the tactics without the biff bang wallop style players. Just hoping we can grab a win by hook or by crook, the team/club needs a win and the fans desperately do too, anything to lift the mood.

Good job it's still summer.
It's the same for both sides though so it's not really that much of a bid deal, and if we are using more mobile/smaller sized players, forced upon Last or not, might that not work to our advantage?

Last has already said we're not 100% fit, 3 weeks training followed by 2 weeks isolation, followed by a few days "training" and then match day on a heavy pitch. After 7 weeks uninterrupted training I reckon Huddersfield can't wait.
Odd how LR got criticised for using the "big forwards, down the middle approach" but when they're missing we hear "pack too light, bench too small, front row is very weak....."
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?
