A big loss for you guys, and like you, I can see Pearson being next, you can't keep pumping money in when the sport sells it's soul for free pizza!
good post bud , 2 teams in superleague is great for the city and rl in genera,,l and would not want to any team go to the wall, more so one of ours under these circumstances

ultimately we are a rugby town, both sides of the river. I was born down Newland Ave, moved to West Hull villages, lived in Mansfield, Worcester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, but Hull is home. I now live within 5 minutes of Craven Park, you can take a boy out of Hull, but you can't take Hull out of the boy!
I just hope both clubs get through this, no relegation may have been the lever Hudgell wanted to make what must be a huge decision for him, nobody can ever doubt his love for KR, or think that the months ahead for all clubs are anything other than uncertain.

Hey hey - roll on December and no buyers in sight What’s he do then ? Merger or in reality a surrendered takeover would be the only real alternative to limping on with the squad on half wages compared to Salford
I’ll call it now - Friendly take over or extinction

Can I again distance myself from this individual. An FC /KR merger makes sense, to anyone who isnt from Hull. We pull bigger crowds than Huddersfied or Salford, we may be have a river between, but we certainly stand side by side.

I'm really not for one censorship or telling MR what to do as I certainly couldn't be bothered to do what he's done and continues to do over the last few years, but how about a "Bell End's Opinion" thread where the likes of A Adler and Tarquin Fuego can indulge in their gormcloptitude all day long and this thread can just be about celebrating Hudgell's successful tenure?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

C Hutton said there was only room for 1 Hull rugby league team So either that’s going to play out or we have a takeover by FC I don’t mind a takeover - always been in favour of a ‘merged’ team for want of a better word. I was a Shareholder at FC before Shane Rich liquidated the Club At the time there was a shareholders meeting at the Boulevard There was a vote taken on a merger proposal The concept was voted through by 67/33
So FC fans who had skin in the game were still open to a merger even when Shane Rich was offering a future worth no merger

FC couldn't take over anything you Plum. Skint as anyone maybe moreso than most? I'd not be taking the mick until we as a country let alone a sport and clubs get through this. Continue being a Chopper by all means but do it elsewhere and take Addled with you

tim wilby also said the same, you cannot keep merging ,youve done it once with gateshead,, remember the sharks like craig has said the crap will hit the fan at most clubs ,how many rovers fans would you attract serving up the crap your team does on a regular basis, back to your bucket and spade beach boy

I think a merger is a no go. We’d lose so many fans which ever way it went. If our clubs get that desperate, surely dropping to part time would be better. There’s enough passion and interest on each side of the city to sustain at least a part time club via gate receipts And local sponsors.
