Ok, how about......................... Reduce the numbers in north and south to get the safe standing terracing in.....bear with me.......... Then fill the soulless corners in with seats to bring the capacity back up and giving the stadium some much needed atmosphere. yes? no?

Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

I’d be all for that, it’s a good plan to me. We just need someone to foot the bill for it now.

As a fan I'd love that, but I wouldn't have it high in the list of priorities to be honest. Especially as the club was running at a loss even before COVID took away our crowds and added testing costs. Doing whatever maintenance work is required to keep the stadium safe and legal will probably be a big enough expenditure right now.

Thank Christ you aren't our accountant.

It isn't that black and white tho is it?

Decrease the capacity, but increase the atmosphere.

Increased atmosphere means increasing the spectacle of coming to watch a match at the DW. That then adds an extra reason to go and people 'not wanting to miss out'. Would that mean more pre-booked tickets Vs walk-ups, or increased season ticket purchases?

I'm sure the club world be happy with around 20k every week Vs 12k & one potential 25k Vs Saints.

Having 25k, but not offering a reason for 25k people to attend (which is what's happening now) is stupid.

Plenty of ifs there, but the only guarantee is it will cost a fortune to do.

I'm also not sure we suddenly gain 8000 fans by having terracing.

Without a shadow of a doubt, but there is one fact in all of this - the stadium currently losers money. Now terracing won't just equal an 8k increase in attendance, it would have to be part of wider strategy to entice more fans & improve the match day experience.

Something has to change to make it profitable tho.
