It wont be the first time professional football centre halfs have been used at centre forward but you are probably right about the full back position in R/L.Problem is Shaul doesnt score enough tries from full back nor does he create enough from attacking plays.
In this new type of R/L Shauls strength will be fast running from dummy half and backing up breaks and offloads from further up the field.
Just my opinion but we will see how it pans out in the coming weeks.
It also solves a centre selection problem having Connor on the bench,
