Not sure if it mentions the charges or not though (I wouldn't imagine that it does)

We make next to no income from the stadium but we also pay next to nothing. If a new deal could be made to at least take some of more of the income it would be a benefit for the club.

The administrators at Latics have said that the only asset they would be willing to sell at the moment would be Sharpy's. That would make a superb supporters club for the rugby. Already set out as a bar, already has a kitchen. Open it on matchdays both home and away (show the game on the TVs when we are on Sky away from home) and a few times a week to show any other RL Sky such as origin, Internationals, Thursday night games or simply a classic Wigan game. Hold a few events there as well and you're on to a real winner.

Just don't let the Riversiders reserve all the tables and interview any players :thumb:

They have under the stand fan zone at robin park for after games. No additional overhead

I know, but it's a drink in a sports hall and offers no income away from a match day.

If we had a proper "club" such as the Aussie model then we could show all the games this season that fans aren't allowed to attend and would be making money off the back of it. (Too late for this to happen now of course)

Going forward, for example, if we play Hull away on a Thursday we will take a few hundred at best. If we opened the club, showed the game with a bit of food on then we would fill the place with those that can't make it.

Imagine beating Saints on Good Friday and having a club to go back to and celebrate that stays open all day rather than for an hour and charges ovet the odds for crap ale.

I agree with all that, the developing of a Aussie type supporters club would be a good earner. A club for all Wigan fans with no cliques (were better fans than you) taking over.

Wigan home of league

According to the latest update: https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/wigan-athletic-worries-hopes-and-what-happens-next-2942347 that's quite likely to happen. Tick tock.

IL would be stupid to buy Wigan. He already has a club that has no assets and generates no profits, ergo is worthless so why would he want to waste money on another club the same?
