The purchase of the Latics by the preferred bidder has collapsed, so the second choice is now offered the chance to buy them, I suspect that relegation has reduced the value of the club significantly, but that’s just a guess.
Regarding the vitriol between the fans, it was vicious around the time of the ground move, the latics fans had a real chip on their shoulders about what they saw as their ground etc, we were the tennents the chubby’s etc, Whilst what’s happened to the club is sad, it shows how quickly situations can change

Even after the day that club has had, reading through cockney latic and their fans are still bagging IL and saying they would never go again if he bought them. Unreal. I hope he doesn't buy them, have it your way and see where you end up. Don't let the door hit you on the way out..................oh.... and GET OFF OUR PITCH!!

Bullitt & Bickymon off there are two of the biggest knuckle dragging neanderthals with enough chips on their shoulders to supply McDonalds for a year. The fact that they would rather abandon "their" club than see it under IL's ownership shows what type of folk they are.
I feel sorry for the true latics fans who right now just want to see their football club playing next month, regardless of who the opposition are. I feel nothing for the knuckledraggers mentioned above, who would be dancing on our grave right now if it were the Warriors who had gone bust.
