They can't help it, too stuck in the 70's and 80's (or30's and 40's judging by some of them) they cannot handle the facts so they use hindsight all the time, what it does is explain why RL has never developed (meaningfully) outside the parochial politics of the majority of it's supporters. The truth is we had two weeks notice of the virus impact but as per usual Johnson was slow to react believing herd immunity was the way to go, so let’s go racing, watching football and shaking hands with possible carriers.
