So which one of the 5 people that would know how much Inglis earns is your mate? Someone in the marketing team wouldn't know. Someone in the club shop wouldn't know. Someone in the ticket office wouldn't know. The cleaner wouldn't know and TBH the players will probably not know.
If you are in business ( as I am ) it's common to discuss salary levels with other business owners if only to get a handle on what your own business should be paying. Anyway, you don't have to believe me, club officials are on record that Inglis is not one of the top earners, confirmed by Brian Carney and others on TV.

Great to see that cynicism is not dead in these happy times. I never come on here boasting of this and that piece of 'inside knowledge' ever. I don't betray confidences. I have merely pointed out to some of the more extreme suggestions on here as to Inglis's pay packet that they are very wide of the mark, and that has been confirmed elsewhere by club officials. Unless you are gullible enough to believe that Wire are about to exceed the salary cap by about £500,000 a year it is evident that Inglis can't be receiving the level of pay he got in Australia. Feel free to posit that the club is employing his girlfriend/mother/uncle to run his fan club on £400k per annumm if you must.

" I never come on here boasting of this and that piece of inside knowledge ever " ( er you just have done ) . There again we all like to feel important sometimes .

Which then again comes down to the next part that if he is the Inglis of old and prepared to be paid less than his worth, why did none of the 16 NRL clubs touch him?
I like how you've hidden behind "i'm in business" rather than comment on which of the people you know that would actually know what Inglis is being paid.

It's evident that you are promoting the art of considered miscomprehension. I have 'boasted' of nothing, even attracting your ill-judged attempts at sarcasm because I won't say who it is who informed me. To do so would be 'boasting'. As stated before, plenty of informed commentators and club officials have stated the same thing on the record. I'd sooner be in that group than yours. Enjoy your cynical little world.

What tortuous logic, I contradicted a statement that no-one talks about their employees salaries, which is not true, business-to-business, no 'hiding' about it.
Your first question raises a different point altogether. Get ready for this startling revelation: I don't know why none of the NRL clubs 'would touch him'. I suppose that's more boasting, eh?

I must be in the wrong business then as none of the several I speak to a day discuss salaries. In fact, the shareholder meeting at a football club I went to only gave the total wage bill and not each individual wage.
I just thought your mate having said that GI is on x amount might have given an inside into how Wire got him to sign.
I'm not doubting that you have contacts, but let's be honest these boards (and the internet) are full of people that claim to know people and know things but then are never prepared to go any further for one reason or another but as ploiner says are happy to use "I know someone who said this or that" line

Why mention it anyway, and by doing so give the impression that your in the know, isn't that an attempt at boasting ?, if what you say about keeping these alleged peoples confidences to yourself, then surely the fact that some people are prepared to impart their information on you should give you the satisfaction you obviously crave for unless you just want people to know that your in the know, I'm now more interested to know who the people you share your confidences with than how big a wedge the players on.
