Yeah but thankfully no one has suffered as a result, eh?
Unlike when our politicians quote stats.

Unfortunately i cant discuss stuff like that on here mate. And genuinely, at the moment, you guys know as much as we do and we will continue to keep you informed when decisions are made by the RFL etc.

I hope you all got your email from Mr Milner. It does not say much really, does it?

He admits in his letter that there is not much to update on but I appreciate the club keeping in touch.

Agreed B. It would me nice to get some clarify MonkeyLover.

The sort of things I want to know, are things that arent speculation, like:

Is the squad back in training at ET practicing social distancing, etc ?
Or, has the squad and staff been furloughed? (are these mutually exclusive?)
Has anybody been made redundant as a result of the lockdown?
What is the contract situation for players?
Are we in the process of recruiting for 2021?
How is the relationship standing up with ET, given they are in a similar boat?
Can you outline what David's current thoughts are on the short and medium term?
We hear a lot (too much) about Beaumont's (Leigh's) views, but not much from LB?

There is not a lot I can say on some subjects for a variety of reasons however I can point out that training would of course not fit into government guidelines right now given the maximum allowed is a group of 6 friends staying 2m apart and if I was furloughed I would not be allowed to send an email out to you. I also would not be doing that if I was redundant. :)

Even before all of this you would hear a lot from certain owners/ceo's and much less from others. I'm not sure anything has changed there.

ST holders will continue to get updated now, probably on a weekly basis, and some weeks there may be more info than others but we are as much in the dark as you guys. As with the lockdown rules things change all of the time.

Before my time the club were chastised for lack of communication with supporters therefore we have decided recently that it is vital this changes moving forward. I would love to have been able to report some good news but at the moment there is nothing to say. However, rather than just stay silent and be accused of not updating the fans, I updated them with what little bit of info I could to reassure them that once we know something they will be the first to know.

Training for elite sportsmen IS permitted under current rules IF the governing body has reviewed and approved the sports return. The paper recommends phasing up the number of people present and avoiding equipment sharing. Social distancing rules do apply when not involved in technical training.

You will find the announcement and guidance paper issued by Oliver Dowden on May 25th online
