Or are they actually worthless after all ?
The business model for rugby league clubs isn’t very sound. Huge money sink holes but little opportunity to earn big money. Relying too much on Sky and on merchandise but with nothing happening those money making opportunities disappear. Wasn’t Adam posting losses over the last couple of years. A poor case for loans given the circumstances. We should be pressuring the government to give grants to save local attractions.

Hudgell isn't worth as much as people seem to think. and the Council have reneged on the sale of CP as far as I know)

They may have reneged but the point being he has this sort of free cash kicking around anyway to easily repurpose to cover wage costs etc, making them much better placed to weather the storm/avoid furloughing and wage cuts etc.

You know for a fact he has money in cash reserves...?

She knows full well that Rovers are in the same precarious position as every other club in rugby league.
At a time when we are all supporting each other in this city and Robins/Airlie Birds are stood alongside each other each Thursday applauding our key workers, she seeks to divide us.
New low in my opinion and probably highlights that she doesn't live in our great city and appreciate that despite the banter we all want each others club to come out of the other side of this.

Sanctimonious conjecture and unnecessarily personal. Bringing support for key workers into it? Seriously?
This is a thread about Hull FC's survival. Clubs with wealthy backers are better insulated than those without. I listed half a dozen clubs in this bracket and was then asked a specific question about your club, and referenced that your chairman a few weeks ago had the necessary financing to pay a million for the ground; Pearson said ages ago that in relative terms to Hudgell he is a financial pauper. What I'm saying is that in relative terms the personal wealth of your owner provides a buffer we don't have, in the same way the likes of Moran will likely be able to shield Warrington, and to a greater extent. It's a fact that some clubs will have assets to leverage (eg ground ownership), and/or wealthy backers and will therefore be at lower risk. Hull FC are facing the reality of this right now and are at severe financial risk.because we have neither. Please don't make this about me, where I live, and fabricate some divisional agenda. It's untrue and unnecessary in addition to derailing the thread.

Have to agree R.B.A, it does seem rediculous to be even trying to bring KR into a thread about the fragility of FC. Like many, I have questioned Mrs B's motives in the past, this latest 'contribution' just reinforces my suspicions. I question when she posts the word "we", her little rant shows true colours, calling out anyone for derailing is lughable from her.

Just for clarity, this was my post highlighting 7 clubs (maybe Catalans as well in hindsight) replying to Isiah's post:
Mrs Barista wrote:Exactly this. Our only "assets" are player contracts still to run but in the current environment I doubt these will be worth much to sell. As you allude to the Big 4 have multimillionaire backers as do Huddersfield, Rovers, Toronto so they have a buffer we don't. Very worrying.
And here is the post bringing KR specifically into it that I subsequently replied to:
