Just got on with it, and did it well.
Cassidy was just one of those players that did things other players didn’t want to do.
Where he may not have been physically as gifted as others his toughness and mental toughness and work ethic were what made him as a player.
Never looked out of place regardless of who he played with.
Agree with Potter and Panapa too although I think Sam did have that but of extra natural talent to make him the player he was too. It was only last week when I found out he had 2 spells at Sheffield prior to signing for Wigan after noticing him in an old team photo one of my mates who also played there with him posted on social media. I asked him about Sam and he said he was unplayable at that level.
