My favourite would be the 1989 final otherwise known as the 27 min final, a point a minute
1998,2010,2013,2016,2018 & 2023.....I was there ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rubbish, the 1985 final will always be remembered as the greatest final irrespective of any last 10 minutes, because of the outstanding tries, the never giving in attitude of the Hul team and the fantastic atmosphere of the full house capacity crowd of 97,801.
The other best two finals for me were the 27-0 beating of St Helens in 1989 with their embarrassing performances of of O'Connor and Vautin in 1989 who were brought all the way from Australia for the final and the 2002 final at Murrayfield when we were considered as massive underdogs. So much so that on the way to Murrayfield, we had to endure the laughing and joking of Saints supporters.
As Bob Monkhouse would say, they were not laughing and joking on the way home!
Redvee ...i remember watching one CC Final on tv many years ago. Len Killeen kicked an angled goal from 10 yards in his own half & followed that up with one from the centre spot when ,i think, the ko didn't go 10 yards. When was that & who were Saints opponents, can you remember ?

Certainly was the 1966 CC final which was the last I saw before leaving England. Len Killeen only played in 1 CC final. When I arrived in Aus in 1968 Len Killeen was playing for Balmain Tigers with Dave Bolton and the following year both helped Balmain to win the Premiership final at the SCG.
Also in the St Helens side in that 1966 match were Tommy Bishop and Cliff Watson. Tommy came to play for Cronulla in 1969 and a couple of years later was joined at the Sharks by Cliff.
Think the 98 final was the moment Wigan fans started realising the cycle was ending. But what a ride. It is only considered the biggest upset of all time because they beat us. Saints fans can sneer at the result be we easily beat them in the quarter finals so what did that make them?

Whilst it wasn't a pretty final, 91 was a big one given the mission impossible aspect and is another that had we played 90 minutes we would probably have lost.
The spirit of 66 tshirt that saints sold in their club shop still makes me chuckle.
