Who ever does what in the long run the club is going to loose money big time . What worries me is this weeks paper headlines that Quins would be willing to pay big money for Jackson Hastings will be music to Mr Lennigans ears as NRL clubs might not be in a position to splash the cash for a good while . The books need to be balanced some way .

Every club, every season ticket holder, every situation is different and there will boots of difficult decisions to be made moving forward.

But what I will.comment on is the statement
"If the club didn't do anything then there is a chance that they will lose a lot more money as fans would feel as they were being conned (again) "

Conned again?

I know this is going to turn into a long thread and my reply will not help, but please, do you really mean that?

Well we were conned in 2017 into paying for more home games than we played ;)

If peoples expectations are too high they will always be disappointed.
And knowing how pessimistic you are I doubt you planned for play offs

It does make me laugh when we get the usual suspects on here moaning about prices to watch the rugby when there's no rugby to watch!
Love it!

I'd rather sacrifice a couple of hundred quid and still have the club around in years to come than any other scenario, each to their own though.

So you think your ST money is good value when all it is doing is paying for Hastings and Hardaker to chuck teabags into cups from a distance?

I'd rather my money went towards buying another ventilator.

By budget better do you mean buy a lesser quality of player? Which then gives people another stick to beat IFL with because he isnt signing top players? I just don't get why anyone who has already paid there money out months ago would ask for it back? Like i posted before i understand the ones paying on the drip might not want to continue there monthly payments but am pretty sure they will be legally bound to do so. I am sure the club will offer something back, personally if i was the club i would offer everyone a voucher for the shop, say £100 voucher, that way then the club don't lose as much but the fans gain something.

I too think the club will honour their obligations regarding season tickets, be it either the season gets finished (and im sure this is what the clubs will want, pie and pint money is important to them all after all) or price off next seasons ticket,Lenegan isn't a mug he knows when this hit that fans who haven't returned with two big signings won't come back if the club is seen to shortchange people things are going to get rough, and lets be fair it wasn't all rosy crowd wise before this mess.

As for signings I think we as fans are going to have to temper expectations for a few years and the reliance on the production line will be renewed with vigour but after the world starts to turn again big money players just won't be happening imo and that goes throughout the sport full stop, only football will escape this mess fairly unscathed in my opinions yes like it or not next season and the following few are going to be tough ones for the club and the sport, and you need fans onside to buy the merchandise, the pies and the pints.

But its going to be grim for a few years yet.

Is anything good value for money when you don’t get what you paid for? Why are you coming out terms that I haven’t even said?

And what the actual F are you expecting the players to do on lockdown? The money I paid towards my ST isn’t paying for anyone to chuck teabags, it’s income that will help the club to exist in the long term.

Read the last four words of my original post.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Take a paycut to the Govt threshold of £2500 a month. If they have large mortgages, take a payment holiday.

That's what the rest of the country are doing.

My daughter is a trainee radiographer for the NHS and my son works for a large pharmaceutical store - neither earn close to £2500 a month but their efforts are keeping the likes of JH and ZH safe to chuck teabags for a hell of a lot more than £2500 a month.

Perhaps if the original question was re-phrased to "Would you be willing to pay £350 per head to the Government for a Covid-Levy"? I wonder how many of the ST holders would happily do that?

Everyone’s circumstances are different but I personally wouldn’t want a penny back from the club, even if there are no more games. This whole situation is horrendous for everyone involved and it’s something nobody would’ve seen coming. I want a normal life back at some point (as does everyone) and a big part of mine is going watching rugby league. If my season ticket money plays a small part in helping the club then that’s great.

I’d like to think I’ll have a job at the end of all this and will be able to put more money (however small the amount is) in to the club and the game. That’s not to forget the fund raising that’s needed for the NHS and other various charities. Everyone who can needs to play a small part (a small wager on the virtual grand national is a start, with the proceeds going to the NHS) and I’m sure there will be plenty of opportunities via fund raising events. A good start would be getting these premier league footballers to carry some of the financial burden. Bar the odd one, there doesn’t seem to be any rush for them to do that.
