Not every ST holder will be able to afford to lose the money. Those that pay by DD for example would probably welcome the money from this season back if the season doesn't happen to allow them to pay for next years upfront and not lose £30 a month for 6 months or whatever it is (I don't know as I pay in full usually) or receive some form of discount.

Thankfully so far I am "as you were" during this and so hopefully would be able to write it off if it came to it but not everybody would so I think the club (and all clubs really) needs to give the fans a reasonable choice rather than make the decision for them or they risk losing ST holders and fans next season or whenever we next get back to it.

How they’d just have to budget better for it,the clubs will hopefully know their fan base is suffering too, they’re duty bound to offer a cut in price as compensation, they are a business not a charity after all

It will be a tough one to sort, hopefully it will only be a couple of months missed and the club could offer challenge cup and play off tickets for the season ticket holder who have missed out on games.

I thought I saw Man Utd saying they would?

They are yes. They can afford it. Others won't be able to.

Would lose money because they would not get as much money in from season tickets if they reduced the cost by any missed games this year. By budget better do you mean buy a lesser quality of player? Which then gives people another stick to beat IFL with because he isnt signing top players? I just don't get why anyone who has already paid there money out months ago would ask for it back? Like i posted before i understand the ones paying on the drip might not want to continue there monthly payments but am pretty sure they will be legally bound to do so. I am sure the club will offer something back, personally if i was the club i would offer everyone a voucher for the shop, say £100 voucher, that way then the club don't lose as much but the fans gain something.

If the club didn't do anything then there is a chance that they will lose a lot more money as fans would feel as they were being conned (again) and ultimately not buy a season ticket for next year. Hopefully none of this matters though and we get to see all the games being played albeit by an extension to the season, who knows we might get a Wigan v Saints boxing day match yet :D

I'm not going to comment on the issue regarding season tickets and people wanting mo ey back etc.
Every club, every season ticket holder, every situation is different and there will boots of difficult decisions to be made moving forward.

But what I will.comment on is the statement
"If the club didn't do anything then there is a chance that they will lose a lot more money as fans would feel as they were being conned (again) "

Conned again?

I know this is going to turn into a long thread and my reply will not help, but please, do you really mean that?

I haven't "lost" money. I have paid for something which I might not get, the money has already gone and the club need it more than me.

I'd rather sacrifice a couple of hundred quid and still have the club around in years to come than any other scenario, each to their own though.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

You know what, my plan worked a treat and that’s all I will say on the matter.
