Can contracts be renegotiated so to offset the clubs wage bill so to allow the clubs to carry on and not be insolvent after all if clubs become insolent then they cannot pay the players wages .Lot of questions to be asked along the line if matches are cancelled could season ticket holders be compensated personally as a season ticket holder and a long time fan of Wigan RL I would not want compensating .Heard that there is a meeting of all SL clubs tomorrow
That's why i repsonded the way I did.
You brought up the suggestion of cancelling the loop fixtures and playing a shortened season.
My response was that it's pointless thinking about those kind of solutions just yet as it may be taken out of everyone's hands, and there may be no good answer to all of this.
Unprecedented times, and difficult unprecedented measures will be required to get through all of this.
There will be casualties in many different ways.
No way on earth would I want any money back on my season tickets.
But others may need it.
In certain circumstances negotiations on wages may be possible.
In certain Instances clubs may have some kind of insurance that may cover some of this
In other instances there will be redundancies etc.
I think fans will just need to be patient and clubs will just have to work together to get through this.
There will be a million expert opinions on this subject on forums like this, but truth is no one knows exactly what will happen.
Let's hope that people all work together and help each other the best we can in all walks of life.
