There were no leaders in the spine of the team for me. 9,7,6,13 and 1 all anonymous.
Our attitude tonight was summed up when Salford kicked through and Hastings chucked a leg at the ball on the floor rather than throwing his body on it. Lacking total commitment.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

That's not a lack of commitment from French, it's a lack of instincts.
I still don’t understand why people talk about Powell as a leader? All he’s capable of is tackling. He’s improved with his occasional scoot but again, he was directly at fault for one of the opponent’s tries. We had an overlap, he didn’t know what to do, ran across the field and put in a shocker of a kick. Salford pick it up and go under the posts. Week in week out he gives penalties away and his passing accuracy is poor. The sooner we get a proper hooker the better. And for all Harry Smith brings, he couldn’t tackle a good dinner. Bibby has done absolutely nothing since he arrived at the club. Tonight really wound me up.

As the OP said we always struggle to see who our leaders are when there is no SOL and usually lose tight games. Having to change the pack around won't have helped with the loss of Bibby, but we should still have had enough to win the game having been 12 points up.

I always get frustrated in games like this where we're missing Lockers. We've got Farrell, who's got 10 years of service, won everything and he still stands there looking mard with his hands on his hips. The frankly poor Leuluai (who was in Maguire's leadership group) is barely any better either.
